The piece, the print and the process (can’t get over the contrast between the last two images)

“Aura” explores themes of self-discovery and inner vibrancy. I created her during an introspective period - to me, she holds the essence of what it feels like to tap into your potential and meditate on those big, reflective questions that propel us forward. Layers of texture infused with 24k gold catch the light like energy in motion, celebrating the force that is inspiration found within.

What comes to mind when you look at this piece?

It’s no secret that black & gold is one of my favorite color duos to explore in my work. It remains a classic combo, with the black providing just the perfect amount of contrast for the gold to radiate its warm, inviting glow.

I remember asking you about what gold symbolizes to you in a Q&A, a while back, and among the top responses were “power and positive energy“, “timeless value“ and “a sense of royalty“.

This is a selection of originals inspired by this theme; featuring genuine gold details, and signed with an 18k gold leafing pen.

Almost finished 🌱 This darling is giving me allll the golden autumn day feels..

I love the idea of autumn being the “result” of life up until now - the growth, the blossoming; everything that has grown and flourished until this very moment 🍂

It’s a time for reflecting, dreaming, sitting back and reaping the fruits of our labour. Even though I adore the warm summer months and sometimes feel melancholic when they are coming to an end, I also love the coziness of this time of the year.

This season, I‘m feeling particularly inspired to get back behind the easel and breathe fresh energy into my creative practice 🥰

This is definitely one of the most therapeutic parts of the painting process. Something about always arranging the colors the exact same way just calms my nervous system lol!

p.s.: How lovely is this audio? Let’s give ourselves permission to not rush so much today and be a little more gentle with ourselves as we grow 🌱

I’m back in the studio after a half week long uni trip to the forest (with no internet connection)🕺🏼will hopefully squeeze in a painting session tomorrow - but first, I need to work on the print shop update so that everything is ready to launch around the end of May / June🤞🏼 Who’s excited? Definitely me - though I‘m also a bit nervous, haha. Sharing more details with you sooon, have a relaxed weekend!

For a little while now, I have been focusing my efforts on updating the print shop to give you an even better experience.

Soon I will be partnering with a new manufacturer to offer more premium quality giclée prints 🥳
I‘ve also been wanting to offer larger sizes for quite some time now - so I’m super thrilled to announce that this is finally happening as well 🥰
You will soon be able to select much larger sized statement pieces - up to 170 cm / 67 inches! (yes you read the right 🙌🏼)

I am still currently working on setting up all the details, but after receiving some print samples the other day I just couldn’t contain my excitement any longer.
Hope you’re as excited for this new level up as me!
